Nacho’s Young Carers Group

Nacho’s is our weekly support group for Young Carers. Action for Children define a young carer as: “Someone 18 years old or under who helps look after a relative with a disability, illness, mental health condition, or drug or alcohol problem. This could be a parent or a sibling”.

At Nacho’s we support around 20 young people weekly. Nacho’s young carers group is staffed by an experienced Youth Worker and around 5 Volunteer Youth Support Workers. We provide refreshments, wellbeing support, and activities for fun as well as for personal development and skills building that young carers may need.
